KATHMANDU, JUL 05 – The Rastriya Prajatantra Party- Nepal (RPP-N) on Sunday announced protest programmes demanding termination of secularism and re-establishment of Hindu state. The party has announced district centered stir all over the nation starting July 7.
Announcing the protest programme, RPP-N said that the party is planning to stage protest outside the Constituent Assembly (CA) building on July 7. As part of the protest, separate rallies would be taken out from three districts of Kathmandu valley (Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur) and the rallies will converge outside CA building.
“We will begin Capital-centered protest from the first week of Shrawan (third week of July),” read a press statement issued after the party’s Central Committee meeting, “Our party lawmakers will play a vital role inside the CA regarding our demands of Hindu state.”
The meeting has also decided to call upon the political parties, groups and organisations in favour of the party’s agenda of termination of secularism and reinstatement of Hindu state with complete religious freedom.
Likewise, the RPP-N central committee meeting has also decided to hold a ‘Sanatan Dharma Sabha’ in Kathmandu.
The party lawmakers have been expressing their dissent saying that the major four parties retracted from the commitment made to RPP-N regarding certain issues that were excluded from the preliminary draft of the constitution tabled at the CA.
